What are you trusting in to give you a seat at the King’s table? Last week we observed Christ’s urgent call to “Repent or Perish!” before the day of judgement comes, and as a result of that charge, this week we see a question raised from someone in the crowd: “Lord, will only a select few be saved?”
In response, Christ answers the man’s question not with a simple answer in the way you might expect, but by illustrating the importance of humbling yourself before God. In order to enter into the Kingdom of God, we must abandon every false confidence and humbly enter God’s kingdom through Christ alone.
