PREPARING FOR THE LORD’S DAY | As you anticipate our worship gathering on the Lord’s Day, consider praying for our service, reading the text for the sermon, and preparing your heart and mind for worship with the Body of Christ. On Sunday, we’ll be singing O Church Arise, There Is One Gospel, and We Will Feast In The House of Zion. This week we are continuing in our expositional series through the gospel of Luke with a message centered on Luke 12:54-13:21, and we’ll respond to the preached word by partaking in the Lord’s Supper together.
WE NEED HELP IN THE CHILDREN’S MINISTRY | Here’s a great opportunity to serve and preach the gospel to the next generation of the Church. Please consider volunteering in the Nursery, Pre-K, or Elementary kids’ classes. We also need people to monitor the cameras on an iPad during the service or serve as the Children’s Ministry Assistant. Volunteers serve on a rotation, certainly not every week or as often as you might think. Please contact Pastor Josiah for more info.
ACTS 11 FUND | In Acts 11, the church in Antioch took up an offering to help the brothers and sisters in the church in Jerusalem. A famine hit the community, and they were struggling. We use our “Acts 11 Fund” to help brothers and sisters in need. If you would like to donate to the Acts 11 Fund, log into your Realm account and select the giving tab. Select the Acts 11 Fund in the dropdown options. If you’re not a Realm user, you may visit https://onrealm.org/rlc/give/now. You may also give my check or cash in a marked envelope. CHILI COOK OFF! | Things are about to get CHILI at Redeeming Life! Join us for our 4th Annual Chili Cook-Off on Sunday, October 25th, at 4:30 PM. Think your chili has what it takes to claim the title of Redeeming Life Chili Champion? Well, it's time to put your crockpot where your mouth is! Whether your chili is mild and merciful or hot enough to make you cry out for grace, we want you in the competition! Not much of a cook? No problem! We need plenty of hungry people to taste-test the competition, cast their votes, and help us crown this year's champion. Come hungry, bring your critic’s taste buds, and enjoy an evening of delicious food, friendly competition, and great fellowship! Want to enter your chili, bring a side dish, or volunteer to help? OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD | Join us on Sunday, November 1st, from 12:30–2:00 PM for our Operation Christmas Child Packing Party! We're partnering with Samaritan's Purse to pack 50 shoeboxes (25 for boys and 25 for girls) filled with gifts for children around the world! There are several ways you can participate: Purchase Supplies: Shop from our Amazon Wish List or purchase items from our approved packing list to help us fill all 50 boxes! Each shoebox has a shipping and processing cost. You can help cover these expenses or offset the cost of supplies by giving to our church's "Local Outreach" fund. Bring the whole family and help us fill the shoeboxes, enjoy a meal together, and pray for the children who will receive these gifts! Let's work together as a church family to bless these children with a gift and, more importantly, an opportunity to hear the good news of Jesus Christ!
LADIES NIGHT IN | Join us Friday, November 1st, at 6 PM for a Ladies Night In all about sharing our favorite recipes, enjoying delicious food, and spending time together! Bring a favorite homemade dish along with a written copy of the recipe so others can take it home and add it to their own recipe collections. Not much of a cook? No problem! You can pick up a store-bought version of your favorite dish to share or simply come as you are and enjoy the food and fellowship. You don’t have to bring a thing to join us! Whether you come with a treasured family recipe or just a hungry heart for fellowship, we would love to have you there for a sweet evening of sharing, connecting, and encouraging one another as sisters in Christ.
