"On Being Faithful" (1 Corinthians 4:1-2)

Mike Pless - Post.jpg

On January 10th, Pastor Mike stepped into the pulpit he’s been preaching in for 25 years—the same wooden pulpit, in fact—and preached his last sermon as a full-time, paid Pastor. He preached a sermon titled, “On Being Faithful” from 1 Corinthians 4:1-2 and charged his listeners to be faithful for the long haul. Following his sermon, he was installed as the Pastor Emeritus at Redeeming Life Church. You may listen or watch his sermon, watch the full service live-stream, or just watch the church install him as Pastor Emeritus.

As we celebrated Pastor Mike Pless' faithful service and celebrate his retirement from the full-time, paid pastorate, he preached 1 Corinthians 4:1-2. In this sermon, Pastor Mike explores what it means to run the race to completion, to be faithful over the long haul. If you’d like to see the full service with all that we did to honor Pastor Mike and Laurie, to include our worship through some of Pastor Mike’s favorite worship hymns, you can see the full service here:

For those who are unable to join us for our worship gatherings, we often have a live-stream available. Our morning worship service is at 11 AM on Sunday morn...

Of if you’d simply like to see us install Pastor Mike as our Pastor Emeritus (or see what gift we gave Mike and Laurie), you can see that below:

As Pastor Mike Pless retires from the full-time pastorate, we've installed him as the Pastor Emeritus at Redeeming Life Church. He will continue to serve with us as an Elder and will continue to teach, preach, and serve as he's called upon by Pastor Bryan. He will also serve as Pastor Bryan's Pastor.
